D.C. Douglas Appearing at SacAnime Winter 2027

Sacramento fans, mark your calendars. D.C. Douglas will be a guest of honor at SacAnime Winter 2027, taking place January 8 to 10, 2027, at the SAFE Credit Union Convention Center in downtown Sacramento, California. SacAnime made the announcement official on September 30, 2026, which makes this D.C. Douglas convention appearance a done deal and gives fans plenty of time to plan.

If you have been waiting for a chance to meet D.C. Douglas, this is the weekend. He will be on hand for autographs and conversation, and he fully expects to hear about the sunglasses-wearing Umbrella scientist, the Geth who joined Shepard’s crew, and the mild-mannered office worker with a very dangerous secret. Bring your favorites. Bring your arguments about them, too.

What Fans Can Expect

Autograph Signing with D.C. Douglas

SacAnime’s guest schedule notes that, unless otherwise noted, guests of honor are on hand throughout the weekend signing autographs. That is the heart of this appearance: a real autograph signing with D.C. Douglas where fans can say hello, hand over a game case, poster, or figure, and get a few words in. SacAnime asks that signed items be officially licensed, so leave the bootlegs at home, and check the convention’s autograph page for current pricing and rules.

Photos, Panels and Table Extras

Photo op details and the guest panel schedule for Winter 2027 had not been posted when this announcement went up, and nothing will be guessed here. The convention lists its guest programming as coming soon. Once times, prices, and any table merchandise are confirmed, this page will be updated, so check back as the show gets closer.

Why This Convention Is a Great Fit for D.C. Douglas Fans

SacAnime specializes in anime, animation, and video games, and its organizers describe it as the largest pop culture event in Northern California. Expect an exhibitor room and Artists Alley, a free-to-play arcade and card gaming, live music, a Friday night swap meet, and a Saturday night cosplay masquerade. That is exactly the crowd that knows his work best. These are the roles fans are most likely to bring up at his table:

Resident Evil: Albert Wesker, across nine games
Mass Effect 2 and 3: Legion
JoJo’s Bizarre Adventure: Yoshikage Kira
Persona 5: Kamoshida, in the game and the anime
Pokémon Masters EX: Lysandre

A Mass Effect Weekend

Here is the news that makes this show a standout for Mass Effect fans. SacAnime has also announced Mark Meer, the voice of Commander Shepard, Brandon Keener, the voice of Garrus Vakarian, and Ali Hillis, the voice of Liara T’Soni. Put them all under one roof with D.C. and fans get a rare chance to chase down a whole crew in a single weekend. The guest list is still growing, too. As of October 9, the convention had added Doug Cockle from The Witcher and a group of cast members from Witch Hat Atelier.

Meet D.C. Douglas in Person

After thirty years in the business, D.C. knows where the best part of any convention lives: the line at the table. Fans show up with a game case, a question about how a scene was recorded, or a story about the first time a certain villain made them sit up straight, and the conversation takes off from there. That is what makes him a sought-after convention guest. You get franchise storytelling, behind-the-booth insider talk, autograph chats that run a little long, and a bit of comedy when the moment calls for it.

So here is the plan. Pick your day, or pick all three. Pack the game with the scuffed corner, the question you have been saving, and your best cosplay if you are feeling bold. D.C. will bring the voice. Grab your badge on the official ticket page, follow every update at sacanime.com, and meet D.C. Douglas in Sacramento this January. Come say hello before the line gets too long.
